Employee Sick while on Leave

This is covered under section 36 of the Act and applies for sickness or injury to the employee or their dependents, while on annual leave. An employer may allow, with the employees agreement, to use their sick-leave instead. In other words its not mandatory either way and quite legal to do this.

In KeyPay when the employee is next paid, simply enter the amount of annual leave to reverse as a minus quantity and pay out the same time as sick leave in the usual way. The annual leave will be reversed at the same average rate it was last paid.
